In commemoration of the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz, we had the deep privilege to welcome Mr. Elly Gotz, a Holocaust survivor, educator and co-founder of the Neuberger Holocaust Education Centre. At 96 years old, Mr. Gotz spoke about his remarkable story of survival, strength, and forgiveness, and shared a powerful message of hope in humanity.
At just 13, he and his family were forced into the Kovno Ghetto in Nazi-occupied Lithuania. In 1944, he was deported to Dachau and was liberated by the American army in 1945. Today, he continues to use his voice to advocate for compassion, stand against persecution and inspire others not to remain bystanders.
We also had the pleasure to welcome Grade 5 students from the Junior School in anticipation of their upcoming war memorial trip to France, along with students from the Lycée français de Toronto.

Last week, our Grade 6 students from the Toronto and West Campus explored history, culture and language on their exciting trip to Quebec. Highlights included the Ice Hotel, Wendake Huron-Wendat Village, the Albert Gilles Copper Museum and a folklore evening full of entertainment. It was an experience they’ll never forget!

A big thank you to West Campus parents Kristen and Mark Bechara for their $500,000 donation towards Can`t Wait! La campagne pour TFS, supporting the new Athletic Wing and TFS Entrance Scholarships. Their leadership and support, combined with the generosity of other dedicated West Campus families has helped us reach $2.6 million of our $4 million target. Only $1.4 million to go to bring this transformative project to the finish line. We Can’t Wait! to build a new regulation-sized gym and design studio for our West Campus students.
